BCCI announces T20 and Test Squad for New Zealand Series

 



On Friday (12th Nov 2021), India unveiled its Test team for the forthcoming series against New Zealand. The squad for the two-match Test series, which begins on November 25, was chosen by the All-India Senior Selection Committee.


As per BCCI, India’s Test-series squad is as follows: 


Ajinkya Rahane (Captain), Cheteshwar Pujara (Vice-Captain), Wriddhiman Saha (Wicket Keeper), KS Bharat (Wicket Keeper), KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal,  Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer,  Ravindra Jadeja, R. Ashwin, Axar Patel, Jayant Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Md. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna


Ajinkya Rahane will lead the side in the first Test, while Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested. 

Virat Kohli will join the squad for the second Test and will lead the team.

India also named its team for the two-Test series against New Zealand, which will be held in Kanpur and Mumbai, respectively.
