Rahul Dravid replaces Ravi Shastri as Chief Coach to Team India

After India's exit from the T20 World Cup, Virat Kohli went on to say that he has been captaining the team in the T20 format for the past seven years and that the team has done a fantastic job throughout this time, for which he praises all of the players. He also commended Ravi Shastri, adding that while coaching the team, he maintained a positive attitude and made a huge contribution to India's cricket.

Although Virat Kohli will continue to captain India in ODIs and Tests, his coordination with Ravi Shastri as coach has come to an end.

When India lost miserably to Pakistan in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy in England in 2017, Ravi Shastri became India's full-time head coach. Former captain and leg-spinner Anil Kumble, well known as Jumbo, was the team's coach at the time.

Ravi Shastri was a member of Kapil Dev's winning World Cup team in 1983, as well as the winner of the Benson & Hayes mini World Cup cricket competition in Australia in 1986.

Sunil Gavaskar led India to victory in the competition. Then Ravi Shastri received a high-end automobile as a trophy, which he used to drive the entire Indian squad around the field. At the time, the money for Man of the Match or Man of the Tournament was distributed among the entire team.

He has worked with a number of players from India's A and Junior teams, some of whom are now awaiting selection for the national team.

Rahul Dravid is well aware of his own skills and flaws. Many Indian players will only be with the club for one or two seasons, therefore Dravid's presence is beneficial because he has worked with young players in the past four years. When he took over as captain after Sourav Ganguly, he was also unique as a captain.
