How Is Holi Celebrated

Recipes on Holi:

Kanji Vada

A traditional Holi drink in many houses, notably in Rajasthan and Gujarat, Kanji Vada is a famous street dish served with Vada. Crispy Urad Dal Vada is soaked in fermented Rai ka Paani, giving the drink a distinct flavor and texture. You can also skip the Vada and just drink the Kanji as a refreshing drink.

Thandai:

Thandai comes to mind when we think of Holi food. It's a pleasant drink created with milk that's been infused with a variety of nuts, rose petals, and spices. You can also add dates, pistachios, and other ingredients to the Thandai dish. Here's a scrumptious Thandai dish to enjoy during Holi.

Gujiya

Gujiya is unquestionably another Holi must-have. Gujiya are deep-fried crescent-shaped stuffed pastries. A filling of sweetened khoya or mawa (milk solids), cardamom, and nuts is used in the traditional gujiya recipe.

These delicious fried pastries are similar to empanadas from Mexico. While we enjoy the traditional khoya gujiyas, there are a variety of flavorful alternatives that you can try.

Dahi Bhalla

Dipped in flavorful Dahi mix and sprinkled with khatta-meetha chutney, those crispy Dal Vadas, shouts pleasure. Dahi Bhalla's are popular Indian street meal with regional variations all around the country.

Kachori

Don't we just love munching on Kachori? With some chutney on the side, Kachori tastes wonderful with its flaky, crispy outer layer and spicy stuffing inside. We've compiled a list of traditional kachori recipes to help you make your Holi celebration a tasty event.
