Andhra Pradesh State Formation Day:
During the colonial period, Andhra Pradesh was a part of the
Madras Province. A significant campaign for independence arose in the region,
and the new state, which included the Andhra and Rayalaseema regions, was
formed in 1953. On November 1, 1956, the state of Andhra Pradesh was formed
with the incorporation of the Telangana area.
It was the first state established in independent India on
the basis of linguistics.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, hoisted the National Flag at his official residence in Tadepalli on Monday to commemorate the state's formation by decorating the statues of Telugu Talli and Potti Sriramulu with flowers.
"The sacrifices of Sri Potti Sriramulu garu and other freedom warriors led to the formation of the state, and they continue to inspire us." “With solid commitment, dedication, and honesty, we must lead the State toward welfare and development,” the Chief Minister remarked.
Kannada Rajyotsava - Karnataka Formation Day:
Every year on November 1st, Kannada Rajyotsava, also known as Karnataka Formation Day or Karnataka Day, is commemorated. The state of Karnataka was formed on this day in 1956, when all the Kannada-speaking districts of south western India were united.
As part of the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations, the Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru has been lit up. People formed a line on the road just across from the monument to take in the vista.
All over Karnataka, Rajyotsava Day is celebrated with great
excitement and vigour. The red and yellow Kannada flags are hoisted at several
key sites around the state, giving the entire state a festive appearance.
